Studio Diary: March 12/2019

Another evening in the studio! Made a bit of progress on "NF". Used a pad sound from the synth... felt like there was too much in the track... so got rid of pad sound, and frequency split the bass synth instrument in the track... starting to sound better and not so piled up. Still need to tweak things here and there to get the exact sound looking for, but progress has been made! Lyrics for this track are complete... may change song structure a little bit... We'll see what the next session brings... will hopefully be back in the studio tomorrow!! Overall feeling about how album is coming; a little slow, but everyday that something gets done, the more excited I am about it! It's taking shape and I feel like this is probably going to be the best Twitch album yet!!

Industrial Music Monday - Brendin Ross

Well, it's that day, and you know what that means... Industrial!! This week we have a project out of Los Angeles, California. The music is in the vein of ebm, industrial and elements of rock and metal! The music is named after and is the creation of Brendin Ross (also, of Frontal Boundary, as well as a current member of Dawn of Ashes). Check it out!! My favorite track is "Eternal"!

Studio Diary: March 9/2019

Spent this fine Saturday in the studio! Not a lot of progress, tweaks here and there. As you can see in the image above, these are the various states of arrangement of each song! The lyric side hasn't been updated yet... but most of the lyrics are almost done!!

Studio Diary: March 7/2019

Another evening in the studio... lots of listening! Worked on "TC" today! Not sure where to take things, still positive, but not a lot of actual writing/recording going on, lots of tweaks here and there! Tomorrow is rehearsal, then we'll see about the rest of the evening (ideally would like to spend it in the studio, but we'll see... should probably go out and socialize at some point this weekend)... I like doing this (almost) everyday thing in the studio... even though I've been mainly just tweaking stuff the last little while, I'm still making progress! Think I need to listen to some new music (not mine)... maybe grab some ideas from there. There is definitely a theme for this next release... not a concept album, but a running theme throughout the songs...

Studio Diary: March 6/2019

Haven't been in the studio for a couple of days, but back at it today! Small steps again, but still progress. There are soo many tools for our disposal as modern musicians... found an old sample, bitcrunched it, then glitched it... fits perfectly with "DB"!! Excited for next session!!
